One of the best summer days out in Merthyr Tydfil is back! The Merthyr Food Festival takes over Penderyn Square for a full day celebrating the very best in food and drink from Wales and beyond. With over 40 mouth-watering stalls, Penderyn Square will be bursting with flavour — from creamy cheeses, sizzling noodles and artisan pizzas to Persian stews, handmade fudge, gooey brownies, saucy curries, cookies, crepes, chutneys and more. On the drinks side, expect local craft beers from Axeljack Brewery, ciders, spirits and fruity cocktails. Live music from local bands, street performers, balloon artists, face painting and heaps of free family fun keep the whole family entertained all day. It's a perfect budget-friendly summer day out — free entry, and just £1 to park all day in town centre pay-and-display car parks.
